Donation Policy

Donation Policy: The Library would like to thank you for your donations, which are greatly appreciated. Without donations we would not have as many materials available to our patrons. HOWEVER, due to our limited storage space and few methods of disposal (dumpster), the Library must be selective in accepting donations of books and materials.

The Library’s criteria in accepting donations of books are as follows:

  1. The condition of books must be good (clean in good repair).
  2. The library cannot accept books that are dirty or have a strong odor, books that are moldy or contain insect droppings, or books that are falling apart.
  3. The library will accept magazines dating back one year.

Closed for Renovations

We will be closed from December 16th, until the renovations are complete in the Spring of 2025. You can check out digital e-books and audio books using the Libby app on digital devices. Kanopy, a new streaming service is available to watch for free. The Kanopy app can be downloaded to smart T.V.s, mobile devices and desktops. Learn a new language for free using the Rosette Stone database. All of these services require a library card. All fines for overdue items will be waived if they are checked out and due after our closing date. The drop box will be open on most days, but will be closed from time to time if work is being done in that room. We can’t wait to have a re-grand opening in the Spring!
